Creating exposure for the strongest charity fundraiser Minneapolis has ever seen.
In early 2017, the Women’s Strength Coalition, based out of New York City, connected with Mark Schneider, General Manager of The Movement Minneapolis, with an idea. Their plan was to coordinate multiple cities to run an inclusive deadlift fundraiser during Pride weekend. Mark and our gym jumped at the opportunity — our city alone raised nearly 23,000 dollars for Avenues for Homeless Youth.
Having never run a fundraiser of this scale before, we built the marketing and infrastructure from the ground up. I designed the visual content including the event website, promotional videos, sponsor packets, and various signage and marketing materials that were used for the Minneapolis event and picked up by the other participating cities nationwide.
